Before it gets a price
At Kopec Auto Sales, we value transparency and want you to feel good about your purchase. Every vehicle is thoroughly inspected at our location prior to being listed, but we do encourage you to take the vehicle for a pre-purchase inspection.

Wisconsin sales tax depends on the county you register the vehicle in, so it’s the one figure we can’t print ahead of time. Tell us your county and we’ll give you the exact total before you commit to anything.

How buying one works
Book a time
Call, text or email and tell us which vehicle. We’ll set a time and have it pulled up front and ready to look over when you get here.
Drive it, then check it
Take it out on the highway, not just around the block. Then take it to your own mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection before you decide.
Sign and drive
Bring your license, proof of insurance and the total we agreed on. Nothing appears at the desk that you haven’t already seen. Paperwork takes about forty minutes and you leave in the car.

Questions we get
Why is everything under $10,000?
Because that’s the car most people actually need. Above ten thousand you’re competing with new-car payments, and below five you’re buying somebody else’s problem. We buy in a band we understand, which means we can spot a bad one before you have to.
What does “out the door” mean?
It means the dealer side of the deal is already handled. Title, registration, the documentation fee and any prep work are built into the listed price, and we don’t invent anything at the desk. The one figure we can’t print in advance is sales tax, because Wisconsin rates depend on the county where you register the vehicle. Tell us your county and you’ll have the exact total before you commit.
Can I take it to my own mechanic?
Yes, and we’d rather you did. Any car on the lot, any shop you choose, before you sign anything. If a dealer ever says no to that, leave.
Is there a warranty?
No. Every vehicle is sold as-is, with no dealer warranty of any kind. That is standard at this price, and it’s exactly why we encourage you to have the vehicle inspected by your own mechanic before you decide — you should know precisely what you’re buying.
What do I need to bring?
A valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and the listed price plus your county’s sales tax — we’ll have that exact figure worked out for you beforehand. We take care of the title and plate work from there.
By appointment only
Book a time to see it
We’re not a walk-in lot, and that’s on purpose. Pick a time and the vehicle you asked about will be pulled up front and ready to look over, with nobody else circling the car while you do it.
